President
As president and founder of Semmax Financial Advisors, Inc., Jay brings over 19 years of financial
experience to his clients. As an investment adviser representative for Semmax Financial Advisors, Inc.,
he holds his FINRA Series 65. During the early 90s, he held his mortgage brokerage license in North
Carolina and Pennsylvania. In 1998, Jay narrowed his focus to working with clients in the area of
investments, benefits, retirement, and estate planning techniques. Some of the areas where he supports

Ron O. Smith

Ron Smith earned his associate degree in Business Administration from Jefferson College in
Greensboro, N.C. and his Doctorate of Divinity from Tabernacle Baptist College in Greenville, Sc.
Ron is a member of the National Society of Certified Senior Advisors. Ron served in the U.S. Marine
Corps from 1953 to 1956 and was honorably discharged.
Ron brings over 51 years experience in the business and financial fields to his clients. He was first licensed in
the State of North Carolina in the insurance industry in 1957 with Skyline Life. He has maintained an active
insurance license in North Carolina since 1994. In 1964, he entered the ministry as senior pastor of Faith Baptist Church and led them
through several million dollar building campaigns. In the early 90s, Ron joined Jay in the banking industry as executive vice president.
Ron and Jay have worked together for the last 16 years. Ron currently serves as vice president of Semmax Financial Advisors, Inc. Ron
has lectured nationally on financial topics, giving over 200 financial workshops.
Ron and his wife Dorothy have been married for 50 years. They are proud parents of three daughters, Debbie, Stephanie, and
Leslie. Ron and Dorothy also have four wonderful grandchildren, Heather, Aaron, Seth, and Aziam, and two great grandchildren,
Nathan and Marissa.
